Before I read this Book I always thought that the government is made by the people for the people and should be afraid of the people, but in this book it is revealed that the government was/is making up stories to the people, to use the people, and put the people in fear. I love the fact that someone has the courage to explain, and show in the detail the corruption that surrounds us, and this is still reality today. This book is an excellent eye-opener, and makes you more aware of what you should care the most, things that affect everyone and everybody. Great book not easy to put down, September 9, 2009

This a book i have been waiting to have for a long time. I have always woander what had happened to “My mayor” Alex Daud, because that was how i felt back then when he was the mayor of my home town. I remenber him talking in my high school graduation and i saw with my own eye the progress he made in my community and care for the people, he was always there, rechable. But one day i lost track of him but i always had a memory of him. I always wanted to know his story. And this book is my chance to know it and to know him better. Back to the book is a great book, kind of a novel, and i have learned a lot from his book that i am sure would help me in my life and yours. It has all the condiments of novel and a thriller, but it is real life.This is a tell all story, and story i grew up with, and memories that i would always carry with me. Thank you and enjoy it your self.

Truly an outstanding book for the historical value as well as the entertainment value. It is a page turner that you will not want to put down. Alex details his life as the leader of Miami Beach during its most important years. He reveals that local politics might be the most corrupt politics out there. It is well thought out and well articulated. Buy this book! You will not be disappointed.
